Quote that describes my ultimate goal

"The key question to keep asking is, Are you spending your time on the right things? Because time is all you have, and in the end you may find out that you may have less than what you thought"

Failures: Best Learning Experiences

It just might be an internship, but it is hell of a experience for anyone. This would help me groom into somebody who would know the plausibility of a person getting selected to a program, however high he might have put in the effort.

It so happened that i had planned to apply for ADSC intern programme in a lab in Singapore funded and run by University of Illinois. It took me almost 1 month to get together all the required documents including the enervating experience of obtaining a LOR, Transcripts , making SOP and what not. After hitting the submit button my blackberry jumped to life, it was a confirmation from the university that they have received the application well within the time, and would look into the application. I was finally done with it and just thinking about my chances to get through, however small they might be. Now as i was busy thinking about it, my Blackberry jumped to life for the second time in 20 minutes, and here it was the bad news, a mail from the person in charge for the Internship program straight away negating my application and forthrightly rejecting it. His exact words were, we cant further pursue your application as we search for top minds from all over the world. I know what let down my application, yes as i knew, my GPA. I have to really work hard to ameliorate the GPA i have currently to a level such that the same incident doesn't happen again , just merely on its basis.
