Reverse Engineering

You might have heard about reverse engineering concepts in the realms of machine learning, especially when dealing with neural networks. But what i am trying is to do reverse engineer the concepts. I find this is one of the best ways to learn and the ultimate method if you want to do something new and innovate.

Lately, i have been involved in various projects where i had to use various machine learning algorithms for classifications and matching. I had gained the basic knowledge about these on the internet and implemented them for my work successfuly.

I am now taking an online class on Machine Learning by University Of Washington, by Professor Pedro Domingos. I am basically studing through the online lectures, as the scheduled commencement of the class is still to be announced. I am extremely inquisitive while learning from the video lectures, as i have already have some experience in the industry in terms of my projects. When i am attending these classes i try not only to learn what is being taught but i try to regurgitate so as how the present algorithm can be improved towards a better algorithm. I found this way of gaining some basic experience about the challenges we would be facing for implementing ML algorithms and then learn the ways in which we can improve by taking a proper class for it. Thus, in the class you would not only be learning about the subject, but you would be constantly thinking about the ways and possibilities the algorithm can be applied to your specific field of choice.
